Abstract
:
The role of the reader in the present critical scene has increased greatly. The reader is not just a means to understand the text, but the source of literary value of it, especially in the era of information technology. This is because of complexities he/she will face in the creative text. And this will require him/her to develop his/her cognitive tools in solving problem and dealing with controversial issues in light of the age of globalization. Internet has contributed to introducing the Saudi poet and confirming his/her presence through reading a number of distinct texts, especially in serious literary forums literary granting the user of internet an air of vitality and interaction with the multiplicity of text receiving, which the text printed on paper cannot provide him/her with, in spite of the fact that it is much more expensive than e-text (soft copy). This is attributed to the multiplicity of universal readers – critical reader, virtual readier and anonymous reader. From this point of view I conducted my study on this topic under the title of ‘ Receiving the Saudi Arabic Poetry Electronically’. The study was done in accordance with this view through tracing the presence of Saudi poetic production and its criticism in e-magazines websites , as well as various Forums in order to reach a result carrying answers to the following questions: To what extent our Saudi poetry and poets are accepted by others? Did modern technology contribute to the spread out of Saudi literature extraterritorially? Who are the most present poets outside Saudi Arabia and why? Samples of study are selected from one or two sites specialized in publishing literary production and critical studies. The study dealt with following points: 1- criticism of generations( the eighties):( a) Critical view. ( b) The poetic experience ( Poetry Side website and Ali Dumaini’s experience) 2- the criticism of critical studies on Saudi poetry, Abu Hayaf and the critique of modernity in the Saudi poetry, Al-Hamidain as a model) 3- the critique of the poetic text( Azaheer literary website). The study ends with a brief conclusion and an index of references.
